The Black Hill Communities Network Vision

A network that supports and enables individuals and families within our local communities to achieve the philosophy beautifully expressed by Social Care Future(Link opens in a new tab), which is that

We all want to live in the place we call home with the people and things that we love, in communities where we look out for one another, doing things that matter to us.

Our aim is

To work alongside people within our communities in order to identify when and what support might be needed and how best that can be offered – our direct concerns are around access to food, health and care services, and transport, but we will also work with community partners who will have broader skills and areas of interest to support and develop economic, environmental, and social aspirations.

We have two main objectives

  1. Enabling people who may want support to make this need known, confidentially, so that we can respond to those needs via our registered volunteers in a safe and effective way.
  2. Working as a collaborative and enabling partner with existing and potential community groups in order to promote opportunities for people to identify their areas of interest and the activities that they would like to participate in.
